Civic Duty and Responsibility
Civic Duty and Responsibility
As participants in the system of governance, citizens possess rights, and it must be ensured that these are granted in a definite and precise manner. Actions contrary to this must be prevented, and the responsible upholding of civic rights must be implemented.
Citizens also have a duty to fulfill certain obligations and responsibilities towards society and the nation—collectively referred to as civic duties. It is the duty of a good citizen to discharge these obligations voluntarily.
